Abstract

AIDS is medical important and as a new disease because it is lide a morden plaque. Causitive agent of AIDS first isolgated (1981)by Dr. Callo and Dr. Montaginer fomerly identfied human T lymphotropic virus type III(HTLV-III) and lymphoadenopathy
virus
(LAV) but new called human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). HIV is transmitted primarily by sexual contact and exchange of blood product. Also HIV can be found in other body fluid. However, AIDS was originally conformed from homosexual males, drug
users,
Haittian immigrants and hemophiliacs, but new sexually active homosexual and bisexual men. Stage of AIDS is several way: acute, chronic and crisis stages, also characterized by a pronounced Kaposis sarcoma and wide variety of servere
opportunistic
infection (protozoa, fungus, bacteria and viruses). Treatment of AIDS is not significant to victims but antiviral durgs, such as AZT and ddI, have also been used. There is currently low effective method for prevention of cure of this disease.
By November 1993, WHO had reported about 718,894 cases over the would, but end of December 1993 finding of HIV infected persons and AIDS patients reported about 360 cases by AIDS center of NIH in Korea.
Clinical nursing care in hospital is very importance for prevention and control of AIDS. How can nurses protect from AIDS? However, most AIDS prevention effors involve informational and educational campaigns to identify high risk groups.
